There are many alternatives on the market today that try to capture the look of real wood flooring. You can get laminate particle board with a photo of wood glued on, or maybe a plastic vinyl with fake wood grain. What do they all have in common? They’re artificial. They're an attempt to replicate what can’t be faked—the beauty and legacy of real hardwood. We decided we wanted something better.

Instead of trying to make durable flooring look like wood, we decided to make real wood more durable. We used the best science to enhance what nature gives us.

Robusto is a flooring unlike any other. It’s natural hardwood flooring that combines beauty and legacy with durability and sustainability.

Here's how we do it.

It starts with the wood itself. We only source FSC Certified northern species for our domestic woods. These are harvested sustainably and are more mature, harder, and extremely durable.

Exclusive Patented Manufacturing Process

We utilize a patented manufacturing process that allows us to engineer flooring that is as thick as traditional ¾” solid but with incredible stability to put in any room, any climate, and over radiant heat.

We employ a state of the art Wintersteiger re-band saw for precision cuts and easier installation. Robusto is the first and only flooring manufacturer in the U.S. to use this technology.

We only use American made plywood that has zero added formaldehyde.
